 Dear Parents:

I would like to welcome you to University of Utah Greek Life and most importantly tell you a little bit about Delta Gamma. A great concern for parents when sending their child to college is how well they will transition from high school to college. Delta Gamma will provide your daughter with an amazing college experience by offering hands-on leadership development, academic support, service to the community, and life-long friendships that will make her transition seamless and enrich her college years in countless ways.

As Delta Gamma women, we pride ourselves on achieving high grades, well above the University’s average GPA each semester. Students that are members of Greek organizations do better in school, attain a higher GPA, and have a more fulfilling collegiate experience, and by becoming a member of Delta Gamma that becomes even more apparent as Delta Gamma is one of the most exceptional Greek organizations on our campus.

Delta Gammas are extremely involved in leadership opportunities across the campus. Delta Gammas at the U impact the campus and local communities through their involvement in ASUU, The Bennion Center, Union Programming Council, The Hinckley Institute, and numerous academic honor societies, such as Order of Omega. Those are just to name a few of the 50 student groups Delta Gammas are involved in. We also are always striving to live by our motto to “Do Good” in the community. Delta Gammas are always excelling in our philanthropic efforts whether we are volunteering at a local elementary school, conducting eye screenings or raising money for our philanthropy, Service for Sight, Delta Gammas continue to “Do Good”.

Delta Gamma also provides a social atmosphere for your daughter to make lifelong friendships and to meet people from different areas and different walks of life. Delta Gammas at the University of Utah come from all over the country, but we have all found our home in Delta Gamma. Delta Gamma is more than a club; it is a way of life. We are very proud to be at the University of Utah and even more proud to be Delta Gamma women!

The values held by our organization are displayed in our service to the community, the friendships forged, and our growth from year to year. Our strength comes from our involvement in community service and philanthropic events, campus organizations and activities, our pride in our academics, our support for University of Utah athletics, and the involvement with our national organization. It is our sincere hope that you will encourage your daughter to join us this fall. We encourage you to visit the rest of the University of Utah Fraternity and Sorority Life web site to learn more about Greek life and have your daughter sign up for Panhellenic formal recruitment this fall! Registration opens June 2022 and can be completed online at http://fraternityandsororitylife.utah.edu/
